1st night Tokyo
Tokyo Hilton
We landed in Haneda and took the Airport Limousine and it dropped us at the front door of the Hilton.
We dropped our bags and then went sightseeing.
This is located in Shinjuku, the room looks lovely. <> and <> are in one room and <> and <> are in a different room. The hotel has an Executive Lounge so we can eat free breakfast and free evening heavy appetizers and eat lunch out.
Our rooms were not ready, so we checked out the lobby restaurant that was serving breakfast, what a great buffet. We didn't eat there. We then went to 2F (2nd floor) and there are 5 hotel restaurants there and it is not open to anyone from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM except Hilton Diamond members, so we checked it out. We didn't eat there, it has almost everything the 1F has but is very quiet and the furniture and little nooks and decorations are really very innovative. We then wen to the Executive Lounge on 37F and that is where we decided to eat and hang out for a while and rest.
Look, we can see Mt Fuji in the distance. There are zero clouds in the sky and the temperature is about 45 degrees.
We then got it together and went to the subway. It happens to be right below our hotel. Smart thinking whoever picked this hotel. We went about 30 minutes (from subway stop 7 to 17) and got off at Tokyo Station. Beautiful building from the outside.
We boarded the Hop Bus and bought tickets on board (make sure you have Yen in cash) and took the north look and then the west loop. Here is the electronics district
And the Tokyo Skytree Tower
Grabbing a bite to eat at an authentic Japanese place
Took subway back to the hotel.
We finally got in to our rooms at 2:30 PM Sunday (11:30 PM Saturday night Dallas). We have a two room suite with two bathrooms, living room and bedroom on the top floor, the 38th floor. The kids have a two room suite with two bathrooms, living room and bedroom next door. Here is the view looking north and west
3pm afternoon tea in the Executive Lounge on the 37th floor
Here is our executive suite, it is huge
I pre-ordered pajamas and special Japanese robes (almost floor length) and they were neatly folded in the drawer. In the drawer below are the standard white fluffy white robes as well.
Two kinds of robes were available plus a set of very comfy pajamas
Here is the kid's executive suite, it is even larger than our room, it has two beds and two full baths with Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower in the other bath
Living room for the kids
Giant bedroom with two beds. Two bathrooms are on the door to the right next to the daybed
Festive with holiday items
Very decorative
Fresh seafood in the baskets above and salad items below
